The Man Behind the Wok

Chef Masa is the driving force behind our cuisine at CO. Originally from Japan, Masa started out as a sushi chef, and he crafts each dish using fresh ingredients, presented creatively. With over 25 years of culinary experience, Chef Masa’s cooking philosophy boils down to four words: open-mindedness, desire, eagerness, and art.

Housed in spaces from a historic building in downtown Charleston to a modern, mixed-use development in Charlotte, each location of CO emphasizes unique design. We utilize raw materials to create spaces that are warm, inviting, and contemporary.
